A Faucet or Sink Done Right Stays Right

A faucet install sounds simple — until it isn't. The wrong supply line connection, a missed shutoff valve issue, or a sink that wasn't properly sealed can quietly cause water damage for months before you notice it.

At Maxwell Plumbing, we treat every faucet and sink installation with the same care we'd give a full repipe. That means checking the shutoffs, inspecting the supply lines, seating the sink correctly, and leaving the job the way a homeowner would want it — not the way a rushed plumber would.

Whether you picked out a faucet at a hardware store or need help choosing the right one for your sink configuration, we'll handle it cleanly from start to finish.

Years: The average lifespan
of a well installed faucet

"The right installation matters as much as the right product. A $400 faucet installed poorly will fail before a $150 one installed correctly."

Moen, Delta, or Kohler —
Which Is Right for You?

All three are excellent. The difference comes down to your priorities, your sink configuration, and how long you plan to stay. Here's how we think about each one.

Moen
Best Warranty in the Industry

Moen's lifetime limited warranty is genuinely one of the best — they'll replace the faucet, no questions asked. Finishes hold up well over time and parts are widely available, which matters for repairs down the road.

Best for

Long-term homeowners, rental properties, anyone who wants peace of mind on warranty coverage.

Delta
Most Reliable Cartridge

Delta's ceramic disc cartridge technology is exceptionally durable — far fewer drips and valve failures over time compared to older ball or compression designs. Their Touch2O and other smart features are well-executed if you want them.

Best for

Busy kitchens, families who want something that just works, those interested in touch or voice-activated options.

Kohler
Design-Forward

Kohler puts more emphasis on aesthetics — their lineup is broader and bolder, and they tend to lead on finish options and form factors. Quality is excellent, though parts can be slightly harder to source years down the line.

Best for

Remodels, design-forward kitchens and baths, homeowners who want the faucet to make a statement.

Already have a faucet picked out? Great — we'll install it. Not sure yet? We're happy to help you choose based on your sink, your style, and your budget.

Questions we hear most often — answered plainly, without the runaround. If you don't see yours here, just call us.

Should I repair my faucet or replace it? +

It depends on the faucet's age, finish condition, and what's actually wrong. Cartridge or O-ring replacements are inexpensive and extend the life of a good faucet by years. But if the faucet is older than 10–15 years, has visible finish wear, or the parts are hard to source, replacement usually makes more sense. We'll give you an honest read at the estimate.

Can I supply my own faucet for you to install? +

Absolutely. We install customer-supplied fixtures all the time. Just make sure the faucet matches your sink's hole configuration (number of holes, spacing, and size) and we'll take care of the rest. If you're not sure, bring us the measurements and we can help you choose before you buy.

How long does a faucet installation take? +

Most faucet swaps take 45 minutes to an hour and a half. If the shutoff valves are corroded, the supply lines need replacing, or there are complications under the sink, it can take a bit longer. We'll let you know upfront if anything looks like it'll add time.

What's involved in replacing an undermount sink? +

Undermount sinks are bonded to the underside of the countertop with adhesive and clips. Replacement involves carefully removing the old sink without damaging the stone or laminate, cleaning the mounting surface, setting and securing the new sink, re-sealing with silicone, and reconnecting the drain and disposal if applicable. It's more involved than a drop-in swap — typically 2–4 hours depending on the sink and countertop material.

My faucet drips. Is that a big deal? +

A dripping faucet wastes more water than most people realize — a slow drip can add up to thousands of gallons a year. More importantly, it's usually a sign of a worn cartridge or O-ring, which is an inexpensive fix. Left alone, the internal damage can spread and eventually require full replacement. It's worth fixing sooner rather than later.

What areas do you serve? +
